The Home They’ve Always Dreamed Of

Project Summary: The Home They’ve Always Dreamed Of

Kitchen: The space wasn’t large, and the desire for a more functional layout was top of the list. The Kitchen is truly the heart of this home, and it was important for us to brighten up the space and create a layout that allowed for “Too many chefs in the Kitchen”, all while designing a functional and timeless aesthetic. Crisp white cabinetry was chosen as the backdrop, with German Antique Glass-Front Cabinets flanking the matching wood hood, to ensure the space had a light and airy feeling.

But careful to not allow the space to feel washed out, a beautiful Moscavo Quartzite countertop was chosen to bring in depth and movement with its swirling tones of beiges, greys, and light blues. An upgraded half-bullnose edge really elevated the look of this countertop. A decorative tile mosaic; Jeffrey Court Ch. 15, Botanic Imprint, placed above the range married all those tones, and provided even more interest and contrast within the space.

The homeowners loved combining a classic, timeless look mixed with their love of rustic elements chosen for the nearby 3-sided fireplace. Black Hardware and Lighting were chosen to provide even more contrast and put the finishing touches.

The 3-sided fireplace provided separation between the eat-in-kitchen and family room. Surrounded by StoneCraft Laurel Cavern Pennsylvania stone in a Dry Stack application, with a custom 3-sided Poplar stained mantel, This fireplace is certainly a showstopper. New 5” engineered hardwood flooring throughout, leads the way to additional newly remodeled rooms…

Laundry Room Design

The homeowners came to us with an idea of a cubby and bench system that would be functional and aesthetically pleasing for when it is just the 2 of them or when they are hosting large family gatherings and need a place for all the coats and shoes. Wanting this space to feel bright, the homeowners wanted to lean into the rustic feeling even more. White Rock stained cabinetry, accented by Shadow stained cabinetry and floating shelves brought texture and interest to the space. The cabinetry allows for more functional storage of cleaning supplies and other necessities, There is even a fold-down, ironing board kept within the tall cabinet with an electrical outlet installed so you never have to struggle with that task again! A rustic tile was chosen to compliment the stained cabinetry tones; Urban Foundry in Graphite in size 12×24 to help the small space feel larger.

Primary Bath Design

The homeowners wished to keep their existing vanity mirrors they picked up while traveling, made of warm cherry wood with mother of pearl inlays. Not only sentimental, but beautiful inspiration and a starting point for selections for this room. Demo included removing a large soaking tub, and relocating a small shower to its place. A new double vanity and custom built-in hutch was designed, carefully selecting a stained wood-tone to match the framed vanity mirrors. The built-in hutch has the same German Antique Glass Front Cabinetry as the kitchen, and provides a “Wow Factor!” as soon as you walk into the space, as well as additional storage. Ainslee Park Calacutta Gold 12×24 floor tile, placed on a 45 degree angle, provides a bright and inviting entry to the space. The light tones of the floor tile contrasts nicely against the rich wood tones of the cabinetry. The new, barrier-free shower features a large bench for seating, multiple shower heads, and low-iron shower glass to really show off the gorgeous tile within. 4×12 textured white subway tile, was mixed with Jeffrey Court Ch. 18 Rotunda Trenton used as the shower pan and an accent to highlight the hexagonal window within the shower.
