From the first point of contact, the Creative Contracting Team is devoted to understanding your vision and turning it into reality. This starts with an initial, complimentary consultation where we listen to your needs, collectively define the scope, set budgetary expectations, and discuss practical solutions.
After finalizing the scope and budgetary expectations, a feasibility study is conducted to assess your existing space and begin illustrating your vision. For a predetermined fee, calculated as a percentage of the projected budget, an architect or designer develops drawings to explore options and develop solutions to meet your needs.
To further refine your vision, Creative Contracting assembles the appropriate team of trade contractors. All potential trades meet at the project site to view the space. This communication and interaction between owner, Creative, and the trades is a valuable part of the process. We feel this is the best approach to clarify project scope, develop in-depth and accurate estimates for contract pricing, and ensure we’re meeting your needs with the most efficient and effective solutions.
Approximately two weeks after our trade meeting, Creative Contracting will follow up to review the bid package including a detailed and itemized proposal from all trades and contract pricing. At this point, we’ll discuss any required revisions or scope changes.
Once the contract is approved by all parties, a deposit is collected, a preliminary project timeline is developed, and processing begins.
After the contract is finalized, you’ll work with our in-house Selections Coordinator to select finishes and materials pertinent to your project that align with your vision. From helping prioritize selections, to facilitating selection meetings, and coordinating with the Construction Manager to confirm material availability and solidifying the project timeline – our Selections Coordinator is engaged throughout each phase and aims to make this process easy, efficient, and fun!
When major selections are finalized, a project timeline and schedule will be developed, including a weekly snapshot of what to expect, an anticipated completion date and project milestones. Following completion of each milestone the Creative Contracting team will review progress and collect progress draws.
To ensure disruption to your lifestyle is kept to a minimum throughout the renovation process, our Construction Manager will meet with you approximately one week before work begins for a Pre-Construction Meeting. In this discussion, the project and accounting timelines will be reviewed in addition to a short checklist of logistics, including but not limited to: Start times for work to be conducted; Family/daily routines; Holiday/ Vacation schedules; Use of facilities and parking; Materials storage; Additional daily needs/items.
Onsite work begins when Creative Contracting and all necessary trades are on the job. Throughout the process, the Construction Manager will provide you with progress reports and our Selections Coordinator will continue to coordinate outstanding selections. Periodic appointments with the Construction Manager will be held to review completed milestones, discuss any scope deviations, and coordinate required project draws.
During the final week of construction, our Construction Manager, Field Supervisor, and Selections Coordinator, will be onsite to identify, discuss, and coordinate completion. Following this review, a revised schedule will be developed to address outstanding items. Our team will also turn over all manufacturer warranties and review our construction warranty.
Once Creative Contracting has completed the project to mutual satisfaction, a Certification of Satisfaction will be presented, and final payment collected. As the final step, a Reflection Meeting will be scheduled to walk through your newly renovated space with the Creative Contracting team to discuss how your vision was transformed and document your new reality.
Creative Contracting did an amazing job with our kitchen and laundry room remodel. The project has completely transformed our home. They guided us through every step from design and selection coordination through the construction and finishing touches.
