Durable, warm-toned Luxury Vinyl Plank Flooring was installed to make the new space feel like a cozy extension of the home. In the corner, a “clean up” station was created with an oversized Kohler cast iron apron-front sink, surrounded by beautiful grey toned shaker style cabinetry and a light toned Yukon Quartz countertop. A 3×6 subway tile backsplash by Jeffrey Court was chosen for a timeless and easy-to-clean look. Industrial style stainless pendants were hung above the sink, as well as above the main work-station to provide ample lighting. A bright yet light paint color, Sherwin Williams Rain, was selected to provide inspiration and creativity. This space is open, bright, and allows for flexibility in storage and creation.
A small balcony overlooking the backyard was created using Timbertech, Tigerwood composite decking and black aluminum railings. This has become a favorite morning coffee spot for both husband and wife. The unique Therma Tru balcony door was an item the homeowners were really excited about, as it is an all-glass French door with glass sidelights that also open and have screens to create wonderful air movement throughout the space
without having the main doors open at all times. We hope the homeowners have many years of inspiration and successful projects within this new space!
