The approved design included a water closet constructed to provide privacy and a pocket door was added remedy the door hitting the wall as it opened. The vanity now fills the space and gives the Homeowners plenty of functional storage. By relocating an air supply, we were able to increase the size of the shower and add a freestanding tub is a beautiful spot
Maple stained cabinetry in the warm tone of Sedona brings an immediate classic and timeless look to this bathroom while the slab front doors and drawers keeps the look modern and fun! (And easy to clean!) Set on a heated tile floor, in a contrasting color of Black- This contrast highlights both choices and the hexagon shape keeps the space playful yet elegant. To brighten the previously chosen selections, a durable Fantasy Quartz was selected. The White background of this countertop connects the white sinks, oversized freestanding tub, and the 4”x12” Soho Bulevar White Subway Tile within the shower, all helping to bring brightness to the space. Not afraid to mix metals, we introduced a classic chrome finish to the sink faucets, shower fixtures, and tub fill. While continuing the black theme with the decorative metal framed mirrors and cabinet pulls. The paint color selected was Sherwin Williams, Zircon. The perfect light gray to highlight the soft gray veining within the countertop and the shower pan and accent tile.
A personal note from these homeowners was their love of baths and the importance of enjoying their backyard view from the tub, while maintaining privacy yet keeping natural light. The placement of the tub and tub fill was chosen with this in mind, for most enjoyable use. We then introduced a Hybrid Shutter with split tilt which allows for total privacy on the bottom, while still allowing light and views at the top- An elegant and functional solution. We’d say this was a Pinterest “win”!
