At Creative Contracting, we are proud of every project we complete throughout the year. We enjoy all the challenges they bring, the wonderful clients we get to meet, and the satisfaction of making someone’s dreams come true. This year was no different, and while we’ve all experienced some tough times over the last two years, we’d like to spend the last bit of 2021 talking about three of our favorite projects we had the opportunity of being a part of.
A Small Bathroom With a Big Surprise
This tiny bathroom isn’t what you expect it to be, and it’s why we love it! You enter a converted coat closet and are greeted by a burst of personality with colorful wallpaper and a tiny wall-mounted sink. The wall-mounted sink features a unique side-mounted faucet to reduce its profile. It allows it to invade as little of the bathroom’s limited space as possible. It provides just the right amount of space to wash and display your favorite hand soap. Our clients also chose a frameless oval mirror to give the users a quick glance at their appearance without taking away from that stunning and one-of-a-kind wallpaper. Our Project Consultant Debi says, “I just love this tiny bathroom. You think you don’t have room for a powder room in an old home, think again. This totally works!” Compared to most of our bathroom projects, this one sticks out as a unique and fun challenge that our designers and carpenters executed perfectly.
A Stunningly Modern Basement
Functional, modern, and a space for everyone in the family to enjoy. When our clients called us, the basement was a bland room of carpet and drywall. Their dream was to turn it into an extraordinary room for the whole family. The new theater space is an excellent place to lounge and enjoy a good movie; meanwhile, others can play pool or enjoy a game on the additional counter space.
The featured metal wall behind the TV is a real show stopper that we’re sure our clients will show off to their friends again and again. The sconce lighting by the TV and the pool table accent the space perfectly and draw you into a cozy movie night. The floating shelving is a great place to display favorite items while still keeping the main focus on the large screen of the TV. Our Selections Coordinator Lauren says, “Let’s not forget the enormous beam running along the wall under the theater screen and beyond. That is just a fabulous work of art!”
When starting a new project with clients, we always remind them that the details are essential. This space has so many components: a custom-built wine rack, brass fixtures, herringbone lay LVT flooring, and herringbone backsplash tile. The dark features, including the cabinetry, the dark-painted accents on the walls, and the aged metal theater, contrasts the lighter quartz countertop and the wall paint. This gives the space a very modern look while also bringing a pleasing contrast to the design.
A Stunning Major Home Remodel
Not only were the Doerfleins’ GREAT clients, but it was a unique project with a few challenges along the way that we were able to overcome. Joe, our Construction Manager, says, “From inside to out, the addition, deck, patio, and storage shed looked like it had always been there. That is our ultimate goal as remodelers, and it is not always very easy to accomplish.” But with a clear goal in mind and an excellent team assembled, we were able to provide our clients with an expansive addition that added square-footage to their home, deck space for entertaining, patio for outdoor activities, and storage shed where they can keep all their gardening and house tools organized and out of the way. These projects challenge us to think outside the box to create the space our clients dream of, and it’s satisfying to see it come to life.
With 2021 almost at its close, we look back on our accomplishments this year and look forward to serving the Greater Cincinnati area in 2022. It’s our pride and joy to design and build such unique projects alongside our clients and provide them with the homes they’ll make memories in for years to come.
“The last couple years have provided their fair share of challenges. However, we have been very fortunate to work with many amazing clients and I could not be more proud of our team at Creative Contracting and how they have responded. As we enter into 2022, I am excited about our future and the opportunities ahead.” – Rick Boyle, Owner
