Hands-on training for high school students who want practical skills, career direction, and real-world experience in the skilled trades.
For more than 30 years, Creative Contracting has built kitchens, baths, additions, and whole-home remodels across the Cincinnati Tri-State. None of that work happens without skilled tradespeople, and right now fewer young people are entering the trades than the industry needs.
That’s why we’ve joined the Conduit Apprenticeship Program (CAP) and the Skilled Trades Workshop. The goal is simple: put tools in the hands of the next generation of builders.
Some kids learn best when they’re working with their hands, solving real problems, and building something they can point to at the end of the day. The Skilled Trades Workshop gives those students a place to explore construction, electrical, plumbing, and other skilled trades alongside the working professionals who do it for a living.
About the Conduit Apprenticeship Program
The Conduit Apprenticeship Program is a Cincinnati-based mentorship for young people drawn to the trades. In their own words, their mission is to “equip young people to work with their hands and establish a strong work ethic, while opening doors for them to pursue meaningful and lucrative careers.”
CAP teaches siding, window installation, plumbing, electrical work, and general construction on real jobsites, not in a classroom. You can learn more about the program at conduit-apprentice.com.

The Skilled Trades Workshop
The Skilled Trades Workshop is a hands-on program hosted at MADE HUB for Manufacturing in Mason, Ohio. Each semester, around 20 students from Mason High School and Kings High School spend four months learning the fundamentals of construction, electrical, and plumbing, taught by working professionals in the field.
Creative Contracting contributes instructors, project mentors, and materials because we believe the best way to address the trades labor shortage is to invest in the kids who actually want to build. The habits students pick up in the workshop, things like careful measurement, clean finish work, and jobsite professionalism, are the same standards we hold on every Creative Contracting project.
