Kitchen and Master Bathroom Remodel
Creative Contracting partnered closely with the homeowners through our design build process to completely transform the kitchen and primary bathroom into spaces that feel open, functional, and elevated.
In the kitchen we removed walls to open the floor plan and redesigned the layout with a more practical refrigerator location, improved circulation, and a stunning oversized island with abundant storage and seating for the entire family. Designed for multiple cooks, the new kitchen now supports cooking, baking, gathering, and entertaining with ease.
In the primary bathroom, we introduced all new finishes to the new layout and expanded the shower to create a spa like experience, replaced closet doors, and incorporated a custom linen cabinet with glass front doors to display meaningful personal items while adding warmth and sophistication.
Together these renovations create a beautiful, highly functional space tailored to the way this family truly lives.
The Challenge
This family came to Creative Contracting looking for a collaborative design experience. They had a vision for updating both their kitchen and primary bathroom as the existing layouts created daily frustrations.
In the kitchen, and awkward angled peninsula and poorly planned refrigerator location limited circulation, turning the space into a cramped one-cook kitchen and obstructing the walkway to the dining room.
In the primary bathroom the homeowners wanted to maximize comfort and storage while replacing outdated finishes, and exploring a large luxury shower, and creating more polished, intentional space.
The challenge was to thoughtfully redesign both areas to improve function, flow, and everyday enjoyment while reflecting the homeowners personal style
Kitchen and Coffee Bar
Semi-Custom cabinetry by Aspect defines the room, with the perimeter and coffee bar in a painted finish in Maple Dover, offering a soft, timeless backdrop. The island and open shelving introduce depth in Poplar in a Timber stain, bringing a richer, grounding tone that adds visual contrast and anchors the space. This same finish is carried through to the interior of the coffee bar’s central cabinet, creating a subtle continuity that rewards a closer look.
Brandenburg Quartz countertops extend seamlessly into a full-height backsplash, lending a sense of quiet refinement and visual continuity throughout the kitchen. At the coffee bar, Florida Tile’s Geo Glass Topaz Bond backsplash introduces a delicate geometric pattern—an understated detail that is thoughtfully echoed in the antique bronze and mercury glass pendants above the island.
Function and beauty meet in the details. A Kohler matte grey composite sink pairs with a Moen Kurv faucet in spot-resistant stainless, offering durability with a clean, modern profile. At the end of the island, a built-in wine refrigerator adds both convenience and a touch of hospitality, reinforcing the kitchen’s role as a gathering space.
The existing hardwood floors were carefully preserved, seamlessly toothed-in and refinished to maintain the home’s original character. Overhead, bronze fixtures by Progress Lighting—including the sculptural island pendants and coordinating dining chandelier—bring warmth and cohesion, while Miseno oil-rubbed bronze hardware provides a tailored finishing touch across the cabinetry.
Sherwin Williams Willowleaf accent walls add a soft, organic depth, complemented by Shitake on the surrounding walls for a grounded, neutral palette. Together, the materials and finishes create a kitchen that feels composed and enduring—designed not just to be seen, but to be lived in.

Primary Bathroom Remodel
The primary bathroom continues the home’s design language with a deeper, more intimate palette—where rich color, layered materials, and thoughtful detailing come together to create a space that feels both refined and restorative.
Semi-Custom cabinetry by Aspect anchors the room in stained Poplar with an Indigo finish, introducing a sense of depth and quiet sophistication. The tone is both bold and timeless, offering a striking contrast against the lighter surfaces while remaining grounded and livable. A matching hutch cabinet extends both function and presence, with glass-front uppers that allow for curated display while maintaining everyday practicality.
Orange Bourbon Quartz countertops bring warmth and continuity throughout the space, extending beyond the vanity to the hutch top and into the shower as horizontal surfaces. This thoughtful application not only reinforces a cohesive material story but also enhances durability and ease of maintenance in high-use areas.
The shower is layered with texture and subtle contrast. Songbird 3×12 tile in Whistling White wraps the walls in a clean, classic pattern, while the Silver Quartz Flat tile pan—repeated in the back of the niches—introduces a refined tonal shift. Underfoot, 12×24 Tuscan Villa Arezo tile in Ivory with Pearl grout provides a soft, natural foundation that complements the overall palette.
Brushed nickel fixtures from Signature Hardware’s Vilamonte collection lend a tailored, understated elegance at the vanity, while lighting introduces a warmer note. Three sconces in a soft Golden Brass finish by James Allan frame the mirrors, bringing balance and a gentle glow that enhances the richness of the cabinetry. Amerock Champagne Bronze hardware was selected to harmonize with these tones, adding a cohesive warmth that contrasts beautifully with the deep blue finish.
Thoughtful functionality is woven throughout. West Elm medicine cabinet mirrors provide integrated storage without disrupting the clean lines of the space, supporting both form and utility.
Sherwin Williams Light French Gray walls complete the palette, offering a soft, calming backdrop that allows the materials to stand forward without overwhelming the room. The result is a bathroom that feels composed and intentional—layered in detail, yet quietly serene.
