Classic Kitchen with a Country Flair

Project Summary: Classic Kitchen with a Country Flair

Our designer suggested a kitchen layout that removed an angled peninsula which had enclosed the kitchen. This allowed us to create a more open flow and presented the opportunity for a larger island with seating for guests that the homeowners fell in love with.

Our selections coordinator worked diligently with the homeowners to understand their style and ensure that the new look of the kitchen would coordinate with the rest of the home. Creamy white cabinets were chosen for a clean, classic look that helped to brighten the space. Lighted Glass-Front uppers were selected with seedy glass to give a touch of elegance. The immense amount of closed-door storage is something every homeowner will envy. And the bookshelves with a bead-board backing at the end of their richly stained island is perfect for the collection of cookbooks. A Kohler, Cast Iron Apron Front sink was a must have for this “farm house” chic kitchen. A carefully selected custom floor stain was placed on the existing wood floors, to bring additional warmth to the space. Lastly, A polished marble mosaic backsplash was chosen to accent the granite countertops, a perfect compliment.

Remodeled Space: Kitchen

The Challenge

The original home’s design left the kitchen feeling disconnected from the main living space. Without removing walls, the homeowners wanted a more open and inviting kitchen that would allow them to prep and cook for their family and friends, while entertaining them at a useful island space as well.

It’s not easy finding a home renovation specialist. Personal testimonials certainly helped us choose one—Creative Contracting. And we could not be happier with our choice. They’re thoroughly professional, courteous, and accommodating. Debi suggested one change that dramatically transformed our kitchen. Lauren quickly understood our style and helped us choose cabinets, tile, fixtures, etc. It was SO helpful to have her narrow down the overwhelming number of choices. Joe was on top of everything and patiently arranged for us to have other work done on our house. Our main carpenters, Jason and Travis were first rate—reliable, polite, and very good at their job. This is our first home renovation and they walked us through every step of the way. We LOVE our new kitchen. It’s beautiful and much more functional than it was before. We’ve been so happy with our experience with Creative Contracting that we’ve hired them to renovate our bathrooms!
