Our client wanted to change a “Mediterranean vibe” brick arch on her fireplace wall. Since we were also doing two bathroom renovations, our goal was to create a cost-effective and transitional design element, more in align with our client’s vision.
The bathrooms both had some unique challenges. The Hall Bathroom was spacious and had a sunken bathtub, which also posed a health risk as it was easy to slip while stepping into and out of the tub. The master bathroom had a very small shower, dated finishes, and two different types of flooring. Another issue was a low dropped ceiling in the vanity sink area.
Without any noticeable impact to the hall bathroom space, we were able to decrease the overall space by just a foot and then increase the Master Bathroom, giving the master shower additional needed space. The new master bathroom now showcases a relaxing soaking tub, a vanity with plenty of storage and a large shower with barrier free entrance, perfect for aging in place.
